I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky. My goal is to be an ally and source of support to help people along their journey. Sometimes that journey is easy, and sometimes things are messy, complicated, and challenging. We often learn ways of getting through life that don’t always help us the way we want. By taking stock of our lives, emotions, and thought processes we can uncover which things may be working well, and which ones could stand to be changed. This allows us to craft our own story rather than following one that feels stale or stagnant.

I believe treatment should be navigated delicately and without judgement. We are more than our current situation, which is why I work to understand what it took to get you where you are today, including your strengths. I encourage art therapy, as it does not require any artistic skill and can help tap into memories and emotions that you may have struggled to find or articulate. We’re all human, we all make mistakes, and we all have trauma. Sometimes these things affect us in ways we wish they didn’t, and I would love to help you improve in areas that need most attention.

Daleigh Kranz, CSW

My scope of work with clients includes navigating challenging emotions such as anxiousness and depression, building on social skills, and healing from traumatic events. I work with a variety of clients including school-aged children and adults. As Psychologist Ashley Warner states, “Beneath every behavior, there is a feeling. And beneath every feeling, there is a need. And when we meet that need rather than focus on the behavior, we begin to deal with the cause, not the symptom.” I believe it is through therapy we can work to understand what the deeper meaning is behind behaviors and find solutions to address the manifesting need.

When times are tough, we can get stuck in a challenging emotional state for months and certainly years. Experiencing the same type of problems in our life (financial, relational, lacking fulfillment, feeling judged, feeling attacked, loneliness, etc.) without being able to understand why can often give us a sense of hopelessness. Having had experienced depression, anxiety, irritability, ADHD, and various types of trauma, I can confidently tell you that there are some universal ways in which humans function that you can learn and use to strive towards a more fulfilling life experience.

Taking the step to start therapy requires courage and vulnerability – valuable strengths that have brought you here and that will continue to support you in your healing journey. I believe at the core of healing lies vulnerability and connection.
